Anyone living near warm waters knows that in the summer many go to the beach to watch surfing contests. These contests contain some of the greatest surfers performing some amazing surf tricks. Depending on the height, an amazing trick is when a surfer performs a 180 or 360 degree turn. This happens when a surfer’s board leaves the water and maneuvers in a turn of either 180 or 360 degrees. Top performers can also pull off a backside into the perfect barrel, which is when a person surfs backward toward a wave and enters the hollow part of a wave. Hanging five or ten is an old school trick but with the right wave can look very awesome. A trick that shows a surfer’s versatility is to pull off a front side roundhouse. In this trick, a surfer catches the front side of the wave, floater, hit the lip and mid wave change weight from one side of the board to the other. The layback snap is another amazing surfing trick where the surfer executes by leaning into a turn mid wave, with one hand in the water and the weight on the back leg. The bigger the wave the better the trick looks.
