This tour takes you to one of the most popular destinations in Costa Rica for surfing... the famous Jaco and Hermosa beach region. Playa Hermosa and nearby Jaco is THE definitive surf mecca of the central pacific coast.

There are so many surf breaks, you wouldn't be able to surf all of them in a month! Great range of surfer levels, too.

Day 1

Get off the plane and cart over to the Hampton Inn & Suites with a complimentary airport shuttle. OK, it's not the most exotic of places, but it is centrally located in San José, and there are plenty of restaurants and attractions around the area to delve into, including museums and landmarks if you're into the cultural thing. All rooms are equipped with two double beds, cable TV, air conditioning, telephone, and private bath with hot water. On site amenities include a swimming pool, tv lounge with happy hour, gift shop, and a continental breakfast is included in your stay.

Day 2-7

Then it's off to your main destination, Jaco! The Jaco / Hermosa area is THE definitive surf mecca of the central pacific coast and possibly of all Costa Rica. Take your Tuscon for a mere 2 hour drive to this great surf destination. Surf locations like Boca Barranca (great for longboarding), Caldera, Playa Jaco and Playa Hermosa (some say the most consistent conditions on the Pacific).

You'll be staying at the Terraza del Pacifico, a unique destination for a wonderful vacation. Here, we combine quietude and security with the party vibe and ambiance. Many of the best international surfing contests are kinda hosted from here. The rooms are big and it has an open-air restaurant that's darn good. Each room includes: one double bed, one single bed, satellite tv, air conditioning, telephone, private bath with hot water and a balcony with ocean views.

There is also an optional canopy tour close by, and if you don't know what that is, here's the low-down. Tie yourself to a cable with a body harness, and then soar over and through the treetops examining things you would not normally see, both plant and animal wise.

The most important facilities of the hotel are out your front door in the main courtyard, and you have a beach within walking distance with big waves that invite you to surf the whole day.
