Okay, you're here for surfing, but you might be interested in some of the other adventures that Costa Rica has to offer. If that's the case, consider the Surf n' Turf 1. You're a terrestrial creature; explore a little on land after your morning surf sessions!

This is an awesome combination of adventures - surfing in Jaco and Hermosa regions (about 2 hours west of San Jose), ecotours, white-water rafting, golfing, and a waterfall hike. There is also an option for sportfishing!

Day 1 - Get Situated

The Jaco / Hermosa area is THE definitive surf mecca of the central pacific coast and possibly of all Costa Rica. Get ready to surf locations like Boca Barranca (great for longboarding), Caldera, Playa Jaco and Playa Hermosa (some say the most consistent conditions on the Pacific).

You'll be staying at the Club del Mar (for the whole 7 days), just steps from the surf. It's a smaller, boutique hotel, but that doesn't mean you'll encounter attitudes, just that there's going to be less people around. Big trees everywhere, friendly staff, great restaurant, and good amenities.

Each casita has an ocean view and is designed to provide the concept of indoor/outdoor living in harmony with the surroundings. The two bedroom, two baths, single level units have high ceilings, 1100 square feet of air conditioned living space, 8 ft. doors, louvered windows, a spacious family gathering area, and sleeping accommodations for six.

From this location, you'll have access within minutes or under an hour to some of the best surfing locations in Costa Rica.

Day 2 - FREE DAY OR OPTIONAL SURF GUIDE TOUR ( ALSO, SEE OPTIONAL SPORTSFISHING BELOW)

You can visit some of the 22+ surf spots located in the central pacific coast including 3rd longest left in the world, Boca Barranca. The optional Surf Tour Guide cost is $ 250 for up to 8 people. Find some companions and split the cost! The Surf Tour Guide is not included in package.

Day 3 - FREE DAY OR OPTIONAL GOLFING

Perhaps a little golf? Even if you don't play or have only hit mini-colored balls at Golf n' Stuff when a little kid, come have some fun on a great course - the Marriott Los Suenos Resort.

Please note price does not include club rental, golf shoe rental and range balls. Golf guide (forecaddie) included at no additional charge upon availability. Optional Golf costs $125 per person and is not included in package.

Day 4 - Waterfalls Canopy Tour

The Canopy Tour consists of a series of platforms suspended in hugh trees in our Jungle.

Guides help participants use high-angle equipment and techniques to slide over traverse cables with the help of pulleys and climbing harnesses.

These climbing harnesses are the type used in rock climbing and allow you to sit in them as if they are chairs. We have 13 platforms, 7 traverse cables, a Tarzan Swing, 3-storey tree house, two hanging bridges and a vertical descent (rappel) at the end for the truly adventurous. Our tour elements are situated from ground level to 100 feet above the ground.

Day 5 - Whitewater Rafting Naranjo river – class III-IV

Hookay. Time for high-adventure.

The Naranjo River Rafting Trip packs all its punches in a 7 mile ride that keeps your adrenaline level high for several hours. Water levels can rise rapidly on this Costa Rican river treasure, especially during the rainy season (May-October), which definitely brings the difficulty level up for any experienced rafter.

After an adrenaline-kicking trip, enjoy local snacks and refreshments before heading back to reality.

Optional Day: Sportfishing! (add $850)

Join us for a full day of fishing! Lunch, snacks, beverages, tackle and bait are included. Our 31 Foot Palm Beach, "Fandango: is in a class of its own".  Fandango is powered by a 300HP CAT engine developing a cruising speed of 22 knots.

Fandango offers the great fishing gear for the difference species found in our grounds. This boat is great for inshore and offshore fishing year round. offering a shade cover and a cabin to shade yourself from the hot sun, Fandango is also equipped with a GPS, Color Video Sounder and VHF Radios. Both the captain and mate are well experienced fisherman and bilingual for your convenience. the Fandango is a Fisherman's Fishing Machine.
