Introduction
This surf trip is for the remote location, Tamarindo.
Tamarindo, if you don't know already, is in the north-west
corner of Costa Rica, and home to 2 very famous surfing locations,
Witches Rock and Ollie's Point (although Playa Grande, Rivermouth
and Old's Man are nothing to scoff at.)
Since this trip is
a touch more remote, you're getting in the 4x4 rental right
off the plane and driving. It's worth it!

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1
Get off the plane and straight into your rental Tuscon 4x4. It's a fairly straight shot north and west from San José, and you'll enjoy the drive. It's kinda
like driving from San Diego to Santa Barbara, through some very beautiful, exotic country, straight up Freeway 1. You arrive in the evening at one great surfer hotel,
The Tamarindo Diria. Grab a drink at the bar, relax and maybe watch the sunset, and get ready for surfing!
You know, local flights aren't THAT expensive. Most start at around $55 because Costa Rica is so small. More on in-country

Day 2-7
 You'll be staying at the Tamarindo Diria, a luxury hotel right in the heart of Tamarindo. Recently remodeled, this hotel is one of the only hotels right
on the beach.
The hotel offers a beautiful pool, restaurant, bar and a very professional concierge service. EL DIRIA Hotel Playa Tamarindo offers tempting full breakfast buffet
(which is included for zero charge on this trip).
This really is a great jump off point to some great surfing.
We have both a 1-day and 2-day trip to Boat Trip to Witches Rock & Ollie's Point adventure
tour for easy access to the waves. You can combine
the boat cost for a group of friends and almost take the trip for the cost of heavy cab fare. Meals included! Call for more info.
